Forum tackles supply chain trends and strategies for a future with ecommerce and entrepreneurship

Specialist project management and advisory firm Siecap hosted a Supply Chain Industry Breakfast Forum on 19 June 2018 at The Brisbane Club, bringing together industry leaders for a fruitful discussion on current market trends and future opportunities.

Forum attendees included guests from Aurizon, Energex, GrainCorp, Parmalat, QUT Business School, Shell, AMart Furniture , Urban Utilities, to name a few.

Siecap CEO David Irvine led discussions around four central topics:

  • Queensland’s market – an exploration of the latest trends, challenges and initiatives
  • The impact of ecommerce – how the arrival of Amazon in Australia is affecting supply chains, and what we can learn from innovations in other industries
  • Organisational structure – developing necessary capabilities for the future
  • Entrepreneurship – the role of supply chains for Australian entrepreneurs

“This breakfast forum was a great opportunity to share insights and assess the supply chain landscape in Australia right now,” said Irvine.

Discussion at the forum focused mostly on the Queensland market and strategies for adapting organisational structures to ensure businesses meet future supply chain demands.

Siecap would like to thank our valued clients for attending this event and contributing to productive conversations about developments in our industry.
